We are currently looking for a Natural Resource Field Technical Lead to join the ENERCON Team in our Dallas, TX office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team in the performance of wetland delineations, T&E habitat characterization, land use mapping and vegetation cover classification, GPS data collection, permitting and report preparations with USACE, United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and various state and county agencies.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and mentor natural resource field personnel.
  • Perform environmental permitting, regulatory strategy development, environmental field surveys, and ensure construction compliance for a variety of energy-related projects, including, but not limited to, regulated and non-regulated pipeline projects, tank terminals, wind farms, power plants, and hydroelectric projects. 
  • Ensure successful performance and accuracy of documents prepared for environmental services in accordance with National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) guidelines as applicable. 
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
  • Develop and maintain environmental execution strategy for compliance assurance throughout the lifecycle of projects. 
  • Oversee the preparation of biological assessments for Section 7 ESA T&E consultation requirements.

As a qualified candidate, you will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources or related sciences
  • Minimum 10 years of experience required; graduate-level work can be considered in lieu of consulting experience
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time within the Region (TX, OK, KS, AR, LA, NM); duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.  Position may occasionally involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.  
  • Must have a consistent clear Motor Vehicle report/driving history
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies
