Conservation Legacy is a national organization dedicated to supporting a cooperative of locally based conservation service programs. We operate and support programs that provide service and work opportunities for a diverse group of individuals to complete important conservation and community projects for public benefit. Conservation Legacy’s current strategic goals include building strong and healthy communities and ecosystems, fostering personal growth and life‐long service in a changing world and providing practitioner and policy leadership to expand and deepen the impact of corps.
Scope: The CEO works with the Board of Directors to implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. The CEO works collaboratively with the leadership team to intentionally establish and maintain intentional external partnerships and “brand” recognition for Conservation Legacy as a national leader in fostering conservation service in support of communities and ecosystems. The CEO maintains a clear governance system that promotes strategic responsiveness and tactical adaptability through constructively balancing autonomy and affiliation across the organization.
Job Summary: The CEO builds upon the organization’s status and credibility as a leader in conservation service and opportunities that is locally adaptive with known knowledge and capacity at a national scale. The heart of this role is to establish and maintain intentional partnerships with all key stakeholders in conservation and leadership development. Conservation Legacy’s core is the integrity of its work. This is accomplished by aligning the internal culture to that external identity at all points in the organization, through leveraging the grit, passion and diverse skill sets and development of exceptional leadership.
