We’re Looking for a temporary Field Organizer based in California!
350.org is working with partners to mobilize people across the globe as part of Rise for Climate Action - where tens of thousands of people around the world we mobilize in their communities around the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) this September. This position is focused on the anchor mobilization in San Francisco Sept 8, 2018 (the Summit itself is Sept 12-14) - helping ensure a large-scale mobilizations with tens of thousands of people come together to ensure our movement’s demands of real climate leadership are clear.
The Field Organizer will work with 350.org staff, our local group affiliates across California, partner organizations, the Peoples’ Climate Movement, and volunteers to successfully mobilize and grow our base. The field organizer will also help 350 local affiliated groups - at various stages of growth and sophistication - to build their skills, leadership and profile through training, troubleshooting and coaching.
Desired skills and experiences:
Full-time, commencing as soon as possible, ending on September 30th 2018. (possibility of extension to-be-determined). Will report to Director of Special Projects
