Job Description

Here's What You'll Do:

As an Environmental Inspector for Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC), you will perform on-site environmental inspections associated with natural gas pipeline and well pad construction projects. You'll work directly with the existing Inspection Team, and report on a day-to-day basis with the Chief Inspector of the Client or its designee. You'll provide construction oversight to make sure that the contractor is installing new E&S controls or earthwork so that they match the E&S/construction plans for the site. You'll troubleshoot and help to remediate environmental issues in the field, and conduct site inspections, which will include weekly and post rainfall inspections of the site with the assistance of the current environmental inspector(s). The project areas would primarily be throughout Eastern/Southeaster OH, Western/Central WV, and Western/Southwestern PA.

Here's What You'll Need: 

• 3+ years of erosion and sediment control management experience; 
• Associate's Degree, or appropriate experience; 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
• Ability to work long hours outdoors under various field conditions; 
• Valid Driver's License. 

Here's What We'd Like To See: 

• BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science/Geology, Biological/Natural Resources, or equivalent.
