Want to join us on this important journey?The Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager designs, develops, implements, and oversees the organization's EH&S programs and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. Confirms compliance of all facilities with EH&S regulations and UTC requirements.In this role you will:

  • Advocates the importance of Environmental, Health and Safety in the organization and actively supports the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EHS goals and plans.
  • Collaborates with operations to integrate EHS performance into branch operations.
  • Leads continuous improvement in EHS while ensuring comprehensive operational compliance.
  • Leads the Environmental, Health and Safety program to achieve and maintain compliance with current and future legal, regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Participates in management review meetings to present EHS performance, discuss upcoming EHS actions to improve functional performance, and proactively identify and address EHS issues which may affect operations or may provide strategic advantage to the business.
  • Collaborates with other EHS professionals to establish or adopt best practices relevant to the industry.
  • Drives all EHS regulatory reporting requirements. Responsible for appropriate procedures, approvals, coordination and control of hazardous, regulated and solid wastes.
  • Initiates, conducts and maintains records of safety training for company.


Qualification:
Required:

  • 10+ years of EH&S experience OR an Advanced degree with 8+ years of EH&S experience
  • ​5+ years of experience leading and managing teams
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Due to federal regulation or contracting requirements, this position is only available to U.S. persons.

Preferred:

  • Experience with California state specific EH&S regulations and laws
  • Experience with Title V
  • Experience in a union environment
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or related industry
  • Experience with SAP

Working Environment:

  • Position May Travel
  • ​All qualified applicants must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, kneel and lift up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and be able to wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
