About the Position:
TERM APPOINTMENT and can be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be converted to permanent without further competition.
This position is seasonal and is expected to work between 6 to 8 months out of the year (March through November).
Ice Harbor Project is a multi-purpose hydropower project, with missions that include operation and maintenance of the facility for flood control, hydroelectric power generation with six main generating units, navigation locks, fish facility with two fish ladders, recreation and natural resources management. Pasco, WA is located in southeastern Washington. It is part of what is known as the Tri-Cities, consisting of Richland, Kennewick and Pasco. Pasco is in a high desert area with the outer area being mostly farming area producing wheat, corn, grapes, apples and other crops. There are many wineries in the area. Recreational opportunities including fishing, hunting, boating and camping are abundantly available to enthusiasts. In the winter, skiing is within an hour away.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
