The Environmental Field Chemist will be working both indoors and outdoors at plants, facilities, and customer sites to identify, collect, and package hazardous/non-hazardous waste. (Known internally as a CleanPack Chemist, this is not a laboratory based position).
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Responsible for collecting, identifying and packaging hazardous/non-hazardous waste produced within customer facilities;
Preparing waste drums for pick-up and delivery;
Driving out to different client sites using the company box truck;
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
College degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science preferred;
Previous experience in a labor intensive role;
Ability to travel overnight as required;
Ability to obtain and retain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Must have a clean driving record
