The Staff Compliance Specialist will perform various environmental air permitting, analysis, and compliance projects. This position will perform multi-media environmental compliance audits; environmental site assessments; mitigation measure implementation, plan writing and editing for various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.
Review of local, state and federal regulations and working knowledge of air regulatory/compliance provisions for client and project-specific issues
Preparation of client deliverables and background/internal documentation
Preparation of emissions calculations and background documentation of basis of same
Self-management of project and client-related tasks within project budgetary limitations and tracking of budget throughout life of project; review, approval of invoices, as necessary
Participation in weekly air compliance team meetings to review/discuss current projects, ongoing client needs/deadlines, and project load
Participation in monthly air compliance team conference call with national air team to review/discuss regulatory trends, client marketing
Tracking of ongoing regulatory changes with respect to local/state/federal air regulations
Incorporation of other BMcD global practice expertise within all air projects to identify and expand current project(s) to CDB opportunity
Participation in local and national industry group seminars and/or webinars for continuing education and marketing
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field from an accredited program is required. Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
A minimum of 7 years of environmental compliance experience working with commercial and industrial clients is preferred.
Previous consulting experience, including hazardous site assessment experience, such as Phase I, Phase II, and remediation is preferred.
Strong Knowledge of environmental regulatory guidelines.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office are required.
Knowledge of OSHA and CERCLA understanding in remedial design.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is required.
Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
