Job Description

There is a required two week camp training starting June 11th .

Job Summary

Join the Education Team of the Audubon Society of Portland and tour the Pacific Northwest with youth eager to learn about the region’s wild areas and wildlife. Day Camps are based in beautiful Forest Park in Portland, Oregon. Weeklong overnight Summer Camps are based in a variety of settings including the coast, Mount Hood and the San Juan Islands. Instructors work as a team, implementing innovative hands-on environmental education programs according to weekly educational themes.


  • Open to 2 nd , 3 rd or 4th year college students or recent graduates.
  • Applicants must show interest in gaining experience and teaching about the environment.
  • Must be positive, enthusiastic, responsible, a team player, and possess good communication skills.
  • Background or experience in education, environmental education, natural sciences, biology, or other related fields preferred.
  • Must be CPR and First Aid certified by start date
