Job Description

E Sciences, Incorporated has an immediate opening for a Water Resources Engineer in our Orlando, FL office. The candidate for this position would be responsible for project management; stormwater management; drainage design; hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling; and environmental permitting in accordance with FDOT, water management districts, and local municipality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in a Civil/Environmental engineering discipline
  • 5 to 10 years work experience within the field of civil/environmental engineering specializing in water resources design specific to municipal stormwater improvements and roadway projects in Florida
  • Good written and oral communication skills with clients, co-workers, and regulators
  • Strong organizational skills and team building capabilities
  • Strong project management skills, including management of large continuing services contracts with multiple teams and work orders
  • Strong computer skills, MS Office products, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and familiarity with GIS
  • Working knowledge of ICPR, HEC-HMS, and/or HEC-RAS
  • A desire to work on hydrologic restoration projects: wetland banks, stream restoration, development of biological BMPs, urban filter marshes, etc.
  • A desire to work on urban stormwater solutions: lake outfall design and retrofits, insolated residential flooding, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling projects, and other flood control and/or water quality improvement projects
  • A desire to work with large-scale and/or small-scale water quality improvement projects including: water quality master plans, needs assessments, water quality models, water quality monitoring, and coordination with stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the NPDES Program, including MS4 permits and TMDLs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project experience with municipal clients
  • Engineering specifications preparation
  • Construction administration experience
  • Watershed delineation and modeling experience
  • Preparing permit packages for SJRWMD, SFWMD, SWFWMD, FDEP, and USACE
  • Experience with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs)
