The Environmental Law and Policy Center (ELPC) seeks to hire a current MBA student for a 10-week Sustainable Business Internship in our Chicago office starting in May or June 2018. This individual will participate as a member of multidisciplinary ELPC teams that draw upon expertise in business, law, policy and planning to protect natural resources and build a sustainable regional economy. RESPONSIBILITIES: The ELPC Sustainable Business Intern will work on mission-aligned projects to advance clean energy, mobility, air and/or water initiatives. This individual will participate in the development and implementation of forward-looking programs to drive positive environmental outcomes, job creation, and economic development. The internship will involve economic and policy analysis, with specific tasks determined by the successful applicant’s experience, education and interests, as well as urgent environmental opportunities. All ELPC staff members can expect meaningful, impact-driven engagement with diverse colleagues and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current MBA student with 3+ years of prior professional experience in energy, mobility, finance, sustainability, environment, and/or related sectors. Strong academic record and excellent analytical and writing skills. Solid background in quantitative analysis and financial modeling. Demonstrated passion for Midwest environmental issues and personal commitment to sustainability principles.
