Duration: 3 months

CDP Europe, the the world’s leading climate change charity, is seeking a highly-motivated intern to support its work on the Commit to Action campaign for a maximum period of three months in our Berlin office.

About Commit to Action: The Commit to Action campaign works with the world’s most influential companies to encourage them to sign up to climate leadership commitments supported by the We Mean Business Coalition. More than 600 of the world's largest companies have made over 1100 commitments to action. Please visit and to read more about the campaign.

Your tasks:

  • Supporting the CTA Manager in managing the campaign;
  • Supporting the regional CTA project officer in engaging with companies to educate them on the campaign and to gather commitments to take specific climate change actions;
  • Drafting briefings and updating the CTA internal resources for sharing internally and externally, as well as writing or contributing to briefings, updates, analysis to share externally;
  • Utilizing internal client relationship management systems (CRM and Excel) to keep records and track progress;
  • Providing general research and administrative support and event support as required.

Your profile:

  • Enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at a German university;
  • Passionate about Sustainable Development and connected topics;
  • Strong attention to detail and process, in addition to organization and data analysis skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (esp. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and understanding of database architecture;
  • Confident and capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams;
  • Ability to work independently and precisely under pressure, be proactive and set priorities;
  • Demonstrates a high level of dedication, flexibility and resilience;
  • Highly competent spoken and written English, other language skills beneficial.

The position is open only for candidates enrolled at German University. The successful candidate will work five days per week in our Berlin office and must be able to work legally in the EU. The internship will last for a period of three months and the intern will work with and report to the Commit to Action Manager.

The internship starting date is flexible, but ideally the starting date should be no later than March 1st 2018.
