This is a temporary full-time hourly position that pays $15.82/hour, 40 hours per week. Work will be located in the Policy Coordination Unit at the Department's Headquarters Office in Jefferson City. The Policy Specialist will manage the database of Department-issued special use permits, assist with revisions to the Resource Policy Manual and track and report progress on conservation area management plans. This position will also assist with other Policy Coordination Unit assignments including human dimensions, public input, and survey work.
Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, or higher; natural resources, policy, or communications experience preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Microsoft OneNote, SharePoint, and GIS is helpful. This work requires excellent organization, computer, and communication skills.
