  • Serve as a senior specialist for the district addressing concerns for the District's Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste (HTRW) and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit Compliance programs providing advice and guidance as needed.
  • Perform surface and subsurface investigations as required to characterize and determine spatial extent of environmental concerns.
  • Investigate environmental conditions relating to treatment of industrial wastewater, and contaminated soil and surface/groundwater.
  • Review existing treatment facilities to determine current effectiveness, efficiency, capacity, and compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
  • Develop environmental engineer portion of plans and construction specifications, and determines the design and treatment to be provided.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including the development of alternative remedial actions to control waste sites.
  • Perform all environmental engineering calculations (e.g., partitioning coefficient translation, oxygen demand, material balances, etc.) required to ensure design will meet mitigation intent.

Travel Required

25% or less - Business Travel (TDY) is approximately 25% of the time.
