Stantec's Rochester, NY office is hiring entry-level Environmental Scientists or Environmental Geologists to assist with the following: Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments; Brownfield Projects; environmental sampling and monitoring; oversight of remedial programs; GIS mapping; environmental impact statements; environmental compliance and permitting; preparing reports,spreadsheets and drawings summarizing the above activities; proposals; and development of cost estimates.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Geology
Ability to analyze information and data and develop appropriate conclusions
Strong technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
GPA 3.4 or higher
Valid driver’s license required
Pre-employment physical is required
Current 40-hour OSHA Hazwoper training considered a plus
Related internships are considered a plus
Should be personable, motivated, and a self-starter capable of working both individually and as part of team
The desired candidate will demonstrate strict adherence to health and safety procedures and attention to detail; have an outstanding work ethic and a passion for high quality workmanship
