Job Description

The Corporate Sustainability Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice President  is part of a five-person Corporate Sustainability team, which supports the development and execution of strategies to enhance Citi’s reputation and approach to corporate sustainability and citizenship. The Sustainability team manages environmental, human rights and other related issues in partnership with Citi's businesses. The Senior Analyst is responsible for data and analysis related to Citi’s Sustainable Progress Strategy, including the $100 Billion Environmental Finance Goal, and reports to the Vice President, Corporate Sustainability, who reports to the Director, Corporate Sustainability, all within the broader Citizenship and Global Public Affairs functions.Job Responsibilities:

  • Data tracking and management for Citi’s sustainable finance activity; primarily focused on the $100 Billion Environmental Finance Goal. Includes working with the businesses and internal analytics team to identify qualifying transactions and calculate contributions towards the goal, maintaining a robust data collection process, and calculating environmental and social impacts
  • Identify and calculate other quantitative metrics related to the business case for sustainable finance at Citi
  • Lead Citi’s annual response to the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project)
  • Support the Sustainability team on additional data collection, research and analysis as needed
  • Support the Sustainability team in preparing/developing communications, spreadsheets, reports and presentations, including client decks demonstrating Citi’s sustainability/ESG credentials
  • Work as an integral member of the Sustainability team to drive implementation and meet the goals under Citi’s Sustainable Progress Strategy


  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field required, Master’s preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, economics, and/or sustainability strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability issues as they impact business
  • Knowledge and practical application of quantitative analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a high-performance professional environment, with quick turn-around and shifting priorities
  • Flexible, a good sense of humor, and a team player
