Support our clients in Colorado with biological, ecological, environmental regulatory compliance and permitting expertise and have a hand in transforming tomorrow As a Senior Environmental Biologist, you’ll have the chance to provide technical support as a field ecologist and resource specialist in field biology, regulatory compliance, NEPA documentation, and permitting. Working with other members of the team, you’ll perform both field and office work supporting transportation, water, and energy projects. In this position, you will serve as a key team member, building upon your expertise in vegetation, wetland, and wildlife surveys and regulatory permitting. During your time with us, you will act as a technical field lead for specific natural resource surveys and will be the primary author or contributor to wetland delineation reports, as well as NEPA environmental documentation evaluations, siting reports, and environmental permit applications.   • The minimum qualifications required for this position are:
  • A Masters or PhD degree in biology or related scientific field
  • At least 12 years of environmental experience 
  • Environmental Planning experience
  • The ability to travel an average of 50% spring through fall.
  • Experience developing National Environmental Policy Act “NEPA” documentation and environmental permitting
  • Experience authoring Wetland delineation reports
  • Experience conducting ecological field surveys
  • Environmental regulatory compliance
  • Experience with USACE 404 wetland, ESA Section 7, Colorado 401, 1041, and SB40 permits

  • Demonstrated excellent client relationship skills
  • 15 or more years of experience
  • Supervisory experience
