Responsible for environmental compliance at SoCalGas' facilities located in Southern California. Serves as company expert primarily in air quality. Provides technical consulting expertise to internal clients, peers and all levels of management on environmental matters including South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) RECLAIM, Title V, GHG, SPCC, SWPPP, HazMat, and LA County Sanitation District programs. Review, assist, and/or manage multiple, complex, cross-discipline environmental projects onsite. Acts as a key strategic contributor to ensure company compliance with specific laws to support business objectives and initiatives. Advocates the company position to government agencies, such as SCAQMD inspectors, to provide flexibility to company operations in meeting environmental requirements. Conducts and oversees complex analysis of the potential effects of existing and proposed company operations on the environment. Prepares and submits environmental reports, plans and permits and/or oversees consultants assisting with reports/plans/permits. Conducts field work to obtain data and ensure operational compliance.
Routinely anticipates, identifies, analyzes and interprets regulatory requirements and/or environmental issues affecting company operations to develop strategies to implement compliance and mitigate the impact to company operations. Must possess and be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
