Job DescriptionAs a Senior Air Quality and Climate Change Specialist, you will help to oversee, supervise, and prepare air quality and greenhouse gas emissions inventory and mitigation development, climate action planning, health risk assessments environmental impact analysis, and report preparation for air quality and climate change projects to support ICF’s Environmental Planning practice, with a particular emphasis on Caltrans and FHWA transportation projects. As a senior air quality specialist, you will also help to provide staff mentorship and training, and peer review for junior-level air quality and climate change staff located in Southern California, in addition to participating in business development to support the advancement of ICF’s Environmental Planning practice. Experience engaging with clients, people and organizations, as well as a thorough understanding of the current regulatory and technical air quality and climate change environment is essential. The Senior Air Quality and Climate Change Specialist will coordinate with clients, key regulatory agencies, project engineers, and internal and external technical staff to develop sound and novel approaches and solutions for environmental compliance, environmental documents, and supporting technical analyses. This position is targeted for an individual who may serve at senior technical specialist or project manager-level, depending on the scope, scale, and complexity of the project and other factors specific to the project, client, and team circumstances.
