Summary

This position is temporary, has a Not-to-Exceed date and will be filled for up to 6 months. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds. 

This position is located within the Pike National Forest. This position is located on a Forest Service unit. Incumbent performs a variety of work in support of the unit recreation program.

The USDA Forest Service has legislative authority to recruit and fill Permanent (Career/Career-Conditional), Temporary, and Term Appointments under the USDA Demonstration Project. Under this authority, any U.S. citizen may apply.

Responsibilities

Checks visitor use of recreation facilities. Monitors compliance with recreation area rules and regulations of parking, campfires, sanitation, use of picnic sites, or hunting and fishing. Reports violations to supervisor. Cleans recreation areas and maintains improvements. 

Answers routine questions recreational activities. 

Constructs and/or maintains trails.
