Description Global Sustainability Leader Electronics and Imaging Business   As a member of the global EH&S Leadership Team, this position is responsible for developing a Sustainability vision and strategy specifically for the Electronics & Imaging business and collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and industry organizations to implement the strategy.  This leader will engage with leaders in other functions to establish long term Sustainability goals, implement projects to meet those goals, communicate progress both internally and externally, drive the business to year-on-year performance improvement in key Sustainability metrics, and expand use of sustainability as a tool to grow business.  Primary Responsibilities: Sustainable Operations : Develop a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the production facilities, operation, technology and EH&S / Sustainability considerations of the production sites. Define and lead   program to reduce E&I’s environmental footprint (energy & water consumption, waste generation and greenhouse gas emissions) across up to 30 manufacturing sites globally. Collaborate with site and EH&S leaders to implement projects to meet annual footprint goals; track & report progress on these projects on a monthly basis.  Review monthly, quarterly, & annual environmental data to track progress towards meeting annual footprint goals.  Communicate progress to business leaders and resolve gaps in achieving the goals. Sustainable Sourcing : Collaborate with functions responsible for supplier selection and management to ensure that sustainability is considered in these processes. Communicate expectations regarding sustainability to key suppliers. Identify and implement tools to monitor suppliers’ sustainability performance.   Sustainable Solutions: Engage with customers, suppliers, and industry organizations to communicate E&I’s Sustainability strategy, plans, & performance and initiate collaborative development projects. Work with R&D and Marketing teams in each business to identify opportunities where sustainability can drive new business.  Monitor progress of development programs to validate strategy that Sustainability can be a key business driver. Monitor and update product/portfolio Sustainability scorecard annually. Employee Engagement: Communicate E&I’s sustainability strategy and goals to employees, including providing relevant training for all employees. Identify and implement methods to engage a wide cross-section of employees in Sustainability improvement activities.  This could include establishing Green Teams at sites globally. Other Areas : Engage with other leadership team members regarding overall EH&S strategy and support the success of each element of that strategy. Represent E&I in the DuPont Sustainability Leadership Council.  Collaborate with Sustainability leaders in other businesses to accomplish corporate Sustainability goals and leverage best practices from other DuPont businesses. Be the expert within E&I on current sustainability issues, identify & communicate any changes required to the strategy in order to meet or exceed industry and top customer expectations regarding Sustainability. Develop relationships with industry organizations and relevant NGO’s to represent E&I’s interests in these groups. Periodically review new internal and external information and propose improvements to the E&I Sustainability strategy Leverage Sustainability best practices where appropriate.  Critical Success Factors : Ability to develop, shape and drive a strategic vision. At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role. Experience establishing and developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., customers or suppliers) to resolve technical challenges. Demonstrated skills leading teams using influence rather than a reporting relationship.
