The National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP) is the leading environmental professional U.S. organization uniting private, public, governmental and non-profits. The 37th Annual NAEP Conference this year is at the Portland Hilton Downtown May 21-24.
The Environmental Career Center (ECC) will be conducting a Green Careers Seminar again this year at the NAEP annual conference. The program is geared to career changers, professionals entering the job market and students who are planning their curriculum and future careers. This is the sixth consecutive Green Careers Conference conducted by ECC. Previous seminars have been held at the annual conferences in Orlando, San Diego, Scottsdale, Atlanta and Denver.

[Part 2] The Perfect Resume - Wednesday, July 18, 2012 – 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET
This resume-focused session brings experts to the table providing a deep dive on building a powerful resume. Attendees will hear perspectives from experienced HR and hiring managers as well as top career development experts in the industry who play active roles at the National Association of Environmental Professionals. Speakers will address the following: understanding the different needs between the federal and private sectors, documenting your key accomplishments, highlighting your daily responsibilities, appropriate use of language and grammar, using resume builder software and keywords, cover letter etiquette and formatting, and online resources for additional reference. An overview of the career services department at American Public University will also be provided.

Our tech-savvy panel will cover the ins-and-outs of how job hunters and employers utilize social media and how you can leverage LinkedIn to network your way to your next job.
