Duties

H-Band Duties: Incumbent serves as the FMP Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Engineer for facilities in Anchorage, Vancouver (Fife), Salt Lake City, Denver (Watkins, CO & Billings, MT) and Las Vegas within Engineering Service's (ES) Infrastructure Engineering Group with primary responsibilities of organizing, planning, coordinating and ensuring EOSH Compliance for ES FMP offices. Duties may include EOSH evaluation and recommendation on designs, construction, operations, and maintenance of FMP facilities. Functions as the focal for the implementation of FAA Order 3900.57A (Safety and Occupational Safety and Health requirements in the Planning and Execution of Construction and Maintenance Acvitivies) for all FMP activities. This position requires periodic travel to each FMP location.

I-Band Duties: Incumbent serves as the Senior FMP Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH) Engineer for facilities in Anchorage, Vancouver (Fife), Salt Lake City, Denver (Watkins, CO & Billings, MT) and Las Vegas within Engineering Service's (ES) Infrastructure Engineering Group with primary responsibilities of organizing, planning, coordinating and ensuring EOSH Compliance for ES FMP offices. Duties may include EOSH evaluation and recommendation on designs, construction, operations, and maintenance of FMP facilities. The H pay band is considered developmental and requires less responsibility and more supervision. The I band is considered the full journeyman level. Identification of promotion in the vacancy announcement does not constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of management to promote the employee selected at some future date. Promotion will depend upon the selectee meeting training, qualification requirements, and recommendation by the supervisor.
