Job Description and Duties

  • Assist with the Classroom Aquarium Education Program (AKA: TIG)

  • Attend local Derbies, contact fishermen, collect data, distribute CDFW Information and answer questions. May assist with weighing and measuring fish. Identify fish species,

  • Attend local Fairs, set-up/break-down and occupy booth, distribute CDFW information and answer questions:

  • Perform Creel Surveys at local fisheries, Interview anglers.

  • Assist with record keeping for TIC, Derbies, Fairs and Creel Surveys

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

  • Properly wear a uniform

  • Two years of college with 10 semester units In biology or other natural resource related studies

  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, with a clean driving record

  • Work in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
