Duties

This is an interdisciplinary regulatory project manager position and management will select one of the following disciplines, Regulatory Project Manager, Ecologist or Physical Scientist position.

In an advanced developmental capacity, you will apply knowledge of natural and related sciences in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers District's regulatory program.  You will be responsible for independently completing projects of moderate scope (e.g. small flood control projects, marinas, stream bank stabilizations).  You will evaluate Department of the Army permit applications and modification of permits for projects or activities of work in waters of the United States.  Responsibilities include coordinating permit activities, environmental documentation and enforcement activities with other federal, state, local government agencies and special interest groups.  In addition, you will be responsible for gathering pertinent information and conducting field studies.  Assignments will become progressively more complex to develop technical skills and experience geared towards performance at the full career level of GS-11.

Management is hiring at the GS-09 grade level. Non-competitive promotion potential to the GS-11 grade level.
