Job Description

The Environment Division of Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support multiple projects out of the Corpus Christi, TX office. 

This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects while working with a dedicated and experienced staff. A large amount of project work will be with refinery and upstream oil & gas / petrochemical related.  This position will primarily perform duties associated with the construction oversight, operation and maintenance of mechanical remediation systems and equipment.  Other duties include data collection and review, groundwater, soil and vapor sampling, subcontractor oversight (drilling, well installation, equipment maintenance, etc.), and similar task management.
 
Responsibilities include

  • Various site maintenance tasks
  • Light Construction ability
  • Mechanical skill/aptitude required
  • Willingness to travel overnight and for extended periods
  • Implements tasks under direction
  • Meets quality and quantity goals

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/Vocational Training
  • 0-2 years of field experience
  • Willingness to work 95% in the field w/ heavy travel required (all within Texas / gulf coast)

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • 3-5 years experience in environmental consulting
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
