Support, assist, and provide environmental expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory environmental programs. Coordinate and monitor Marine Corps NEPA efforts in the PACOM AOR. Coordinate to ensure USMC interests are represented and fulfilled for NEPA documentation, master planning, real estate planning, and scheduling with HQMC Facilities (LF), NAVFAC, III MEF units, consultants, and federal and local government agencies and others. Coordinate mitigation with federal agencies. Assist executive agents with supporting USMC efforts in the conduct of basic environmental assessments. Prepare, research, review, and edit environmental and technical documents and reports and file and records management, assist with maintaining the offices National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) administrative record, and support, assist, and coordinate office functions. This position is located in Honolulu, HI.
-Experience with leading resource consultations, including cultural, terrestrial, and marine mammal in support of NEPA required
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge of NEPA regulations and legal precedents and related federal environmental laws and requirements required
-Knowledge of NEPA compliance procedures, policy, and guidance required
-Ability to think independently
-Ability to be computer literate
-Ability to develop business correspondence, including memos, letters, and e
-Ability to develop spreadsheets, slides, and various presentations, when needed
-BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience with NEPA required
-Knowledge of a variety of scientific, engineering, and environmental disciplines relevant to environmental impact analyses preferred
-Ability to develop recommendations for the mitigation of adverse environmental impacts or other measures to avoid confrontation or regulatory delays preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent customer service skills for daily interaction with various levels of rank, authority, and positions, including military and civilians
