An an Environmental Scientist provides Air Monitoring and Sampling at Hazardous Waste sites, environmental Emergency Responses, Vapor Intrusion sites and other events to provide public health and safety. Liquid and solid sampling is also possible using EPA methods.
As a Wireless Network Engineer provides technical support, assists in the maintenance and deployment, of local and remote wireless networks for various environmental projects. The right candidate will be groomed to lead small to medium sized projects independently. Tests and evaluates technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements. Responsible for documenting all aspects of the work performed. Candidate should an intermediate level of knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the networking field. Provides support for network systems and physical network including hardware, software, network tools & applications.
The ideal candidate will possess both environmental and computer skills, but consideration will be given to candidates with either skills.
Some or all of the following:
Current 40 Hour Hazwoper training in conformance with 40 CFR
Some project management experience.
Experience with EPA liquid and solid sampling methods and procedures.
Experience with small electronic equipment and repair.
Familiarity with electrical concepts.
Strong computer skills with ability to understand computer networks (wired and wireless).
Knowledge of SCRIBE and/or VIPER is a plus
