 About the Position:
The Park Ranger position is located at a comprehensive lake/park project. Project purposes may include water impoundment for flow regulation and a variety of resource preservation and outdoor recreation activities and applying methods, techniques, and procedures.  Advises visitors concerning safety, fire preventions, and proper and authorized use of recreational facilities. Develops and conducts interpretive talks/guided tour programs. Inspects facilities and check for compliance with rules and regulations. Conducts on-foot and motorized patrols of project land and water ways. Investigates of stream pollution due to logging, mining, manufacturing processes etc.

Duties

  • Advise visitors concerning safety, fire prevention, and proper and authorized use of recreational facilities.
  • Develop and conduct interpretive talks and guided tour programs.
  • Inspect facilities and check for compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Collect cash receipts (user fees) and deposits in a designated depository.
  • Prepare displays for postings on project bulletin boards.
  • Conduct on-foot and motorized patrols of project land and water ways.
  • Investigate stream pollution due to logging, mining and manufacturing processes, etc.
