Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Conservation Supervisor at the Napa Satellite, the Conservationist I performs the following duties:

Supervise, train and evaluate 18-25-year-old young adults (corpsmembers) performing conservation-related work projects.  

Instruct, inspire, motivate, and ensure the development of safe work habits in crews of young adult corpsmembers.  Supervise corpsmembers while involved in projects in remote areas or urban settings.  Respond to natural disasters such as floods, fires, or pest infestations.  Assist the further educational development of corpsmembers during evening and weekends, if assigned.  Maintain time and leave records; develop injury, accomplishment and disciplinary reports.
