Job Description

Environmental Engineer, located in an Indian Health Service Field or District Office and under the Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction, works on all phases of projects pertaining to improving environmental conditions for field hospitals and/or clinics located within the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service.

  • Responsible for complete scheduling of all phases of sanitation projects including multiple contracts resulting in timely construction of sanitation facilities.
  • Perform and oversee construction inspection to assure conformance to contract requirements and standards of the construction industry.
  • Complete detailed engineering designs including plans and specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations to arrive at detailed designs.
  • Perform topographic and alignment surveys with modem surveying equipment.

Travel Required

  • Occasional Travel
  • Regular daily travel to construction sites and occasional overnight travel.
