This position will work in the Outreach and Engagement Division of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.
This position may be filled by a temporary job appointment. However, there is a possibility that this position may later be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
Work includes specific aspects of development, coordination, and the implementation of comprehensive education and outreach program.
This person will be responsible for website content, accuracy and updates to support CPRA educational outreach; Provides ongoing social media content to support coastal educational programming. Ensures ongoing development and production of educational/informational materials. Responsible for maintaining calendar for program, coordinates schedule, access, policy adherence for visitors/tours, maintains event logs, conducts tours, manages email list, email outreach, notifications, and prepares reports as requested. Establish and manage adherence to program processes, policies and procedures; maintain integrity of project mission, priorities, goals, and objectives. Identify and prepare grants to secure ongoing funds for program operation. Participates in developing public outreach materials relating to conservation, protection, and enhancement of coastal and other natural resources to promote interest in projects/programs and provide education about Louisiana's natural resources; handout literature, answer general questions about the Louisiana coastal issues and programs. Responsible for maintaining a repository of information for public consumption, including photos, project information, exhibits, etc.
As part of a career progression group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Coastal Resources Program Specialist 1, 2, or 3 depending on the level of experience. The maximum salary for CRPS 3 is $68,099 annually.
