Job Description

Our Denver, Colorado office offers a unique work environment and specializes in environmental consulting and natural resource management.

What you will accomplish:

Conduct a variety of natural resources field studies including threatened/endangered species assessments, wetland delineations, and avian/wildlife surveys.  Conduct fieldwork, organize and transfer field data, and write technical reports and permit applications related to Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and other resource planning/permitting, and/or natural resource disciplines.  Assist in the writing and development of written deliverable related to project work.

Experience and qualifications for success:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Botany, Environmental Science, Fish and Wildlife Science, Ecology, or related field required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in environmental fieldwork required; experience in wetland delineation, avian  and vegetation surveys strongly preferred
  • Environmental survey experience and permitting in the great plains and sagebrsuh ecosystems of the Rocky Mountain/Plains region preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and guidance, particularly in stormwater management, construction compliance, and Clean Water Act Section 404
  • Familiarity with mapping software such as ArcGIS and GPS devices is required
  • Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, often  at high altitudes, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required
  • Ability to operate 4x4 trucks, ATV's/UTVs, and experience in loading and pulling small trailers
