Job Description

The Sustainability intern will work on projects with sustainability leaders at Hexion, supporting strategy, metrics, and our manufacturing sites.

Successful candidate must be local to Columbus, OH, allowing them to continue to work part-time throughout the academic year.

Job Responsibilities

Complete at least one sustainability project as directed by a Hexion Sustainability Leader in support of strategic implementation of sustainability within the EPCD Division:

  • Create templates for integration of sustainability into business processes. Examples may include:
    • Customer sustainability communications
    • Life-cycle analysis information gathering on a Hexion product line
    • Emissions reporting data
    • Corporate social activities
    • Market specific trend analysis
    • New product development
  • Assist in configuration and migration of sustainability metrics model  from manual approach to packaged software tool
  • Utilize sustainability software tool for data entry and analysis for reporting metrics
  • Creation of dashboards
  • Assist a Sustainability Leader in an energy, waste or water reduction project being implemented by one of our sites

Minimum Qualifications Successful candidate must be local to Columbus, OH, allowing them to continue to work part-time throughout the academic year.

Currently in undergraduate program in the following disciplines:

  • Environmental Studies
  • Sustainability
  • Environment. Economy, Development and Sustainability
  • Safety & Health
  • Business
