Overview / Responsibilities
Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is recruiting for an Environmental Scientist to work in our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is a position which will appeal to individuals with an understanding of the NEPA process, good work ethic and genuine interest in career growth within a professional team of environmental scientists and biologists. The successful candidate will report to the NEPA Coordinator and Project Managers and work will be performed to support and maintain the delivery of projects related to NEPA and related laws and policies.
Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure invites qualified applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in the field of environmental science, planning or an equivalent discipline with 3-5 years direct work experience to apply for the position. Key Responsibilities
This role will serve a critical function for the delivery of environmental documents. This position will support on-going environmental assessment projects with the following key responsibilities:
Work with the NEPA group to produce high quality, defensible documents
Ability to meet project schedules
Understanding of impact assessment methodologies and technical writing
Flexibility and willingness to work as part of an in interdisciplinary teamSkills / Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a BS degree in the field of environmental science, planning or an equivalent discipline
3-5 years of applicable experience with NEPA documentation
Applicant will have excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to produce concise documents that meet required standards
Valid driver’s license and good driving record for travel within the central USDiversity Statement
