Job Description

HawkWatch International is seeking two (2) skilled observers to conduct road-based winter raptor surveys in southwestern Utah.  Surveys will occur roughly between January 5 and February 5, 2017, with a minimum of 20 survey days (8 hrs/day) completed.  Observers will work together driving all available roads within defined study areas of interest and recording all raptors sighted, but with particular focus on eagles.  Observers will also record perch and flight characteristics, as well as basic weather data.  A 4x4 vehicle will be provided and motel lodging will be paid for (shared room).
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated strong raptor identification or birding skills.  .  Last date to apply is December 11, 2016.
