About the Position:
This position assists the Threatened and Endangered Species Section in Bird Surveying and Monitoring. This position may be filled at any of the locations announced. This position will run from May 2017 through August 2017. Incumbent will need to be available to start in the position no later than June 1, 2017. This is a temporary position that will not lead to permanent employment.

Duties
Incumbent will serve as a Biological Science Aid for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, working on the Missouri River assisting with the monitoring two Federally listed threatened/endangered shorebirds (piping plovers and least terns) during their breeding season from May – August. Assist with the collection of biological data in the field. Assist within identifying, verifying, counting or collecting animal species. Assist in the preparation of biological data reports.

Travel for Temporary Duty (TDY) will not exceed 20%

Work Schedule is Full Time - Temporary NTE 6 months
