Applicant must have earned a B.S. or M.S. degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related discipline; must possess excellent communication skills; and have 5 to 10 years of consulting experience, a significant portion of which was spent managing groundwater related projects such as water supply (e.g. well field siting studies, aquifer test design), wastewater disposal, hydrogeologic site investigation and remediation, and coastal zone groundwater management. Duties include report preparation, interacting with clients and regulators, estimating and managing budgets, and leading and mentoring project staff.
Position requires experience with federal and state environmental regulations, and experience with petroleum hydrocarbon sites is desirable. Experience with groundwater modeling projects, use of geologic software (e.g. Golden Software’s Surfer®, ESRI’s ArcGIS®) and data visualization software, strong quantitative hydrogeology skills, and experience in strategic advisory and/or litigation support projects are all considered strong pluses.
