Job Description

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Environmental Engineer with emphasis in remediation for employment in the Tallahassee office. A BS degree specifically in a engineering curriculum is required. You will gain experience in your discipline through learning on the job and participate in development opportunities, including access to AECOM's social media resources and professional networking. This is a full-time position that requires completion of assigned tasks both in the field and office. Travel is required. Work to conducted under the supervision of specific project managers, task managers, or project professional engineers.
Work will require strong safety focus to complete work safely and effectively
Will be provided 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
Will be enrolled in medical surveillance monitoring and random drug screening programs

Work includes:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering and other discipline tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare tables and spreadsheets, field notes, and engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Field work is a significant portion of the work and is the foundational training for advancing engineering career (e.g., groundwater sampling and soil sampling, well installation and remedial system installs; contractor oversight; field data collection related to due diligence and compliance related projects)
Requires effective oral and written communication between project manager and project team
Work will draw upon other disciplines including chemistry, biology, geology, and environmental sciences
Requires valid Florida Driver's License

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related field required
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other modeling, statistical, estimating software)
Ability to travel for days at a time
Be able to obtain 40 hr HAZWOPER Training Certificate upon hire
Must be able to pass a medical clearance
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
