Job Description

A research opportunity is available with the U.S Army Garrison Directorate of Public Works (DPW) in the Environmental and Natural Resources Division located in Fort Huachuca, AZ. DPW is seeking a candidate with a Bachelors/Masters in Biology, Natural Resources, Ecology, or similar. Exposure to southwestern grasslands and chemical control of invasive plants a plus.
Candidate will participate in developing invasive plant and animal monitoring and management plans and annual reporting, implementing on the ground invasive management, invasive education & develop invasive species management volunteer base. Assist in implementation and administration of invasive species program. Assist with invasive plant and animal management projects. Perform work in support of native grassland habitat and resource management activities and outreach. Participate in physical and chemical management of invasive species. Assist with other wildlife surveys and management activities, including human and wildlife interactions "nuisance wildlife". Training provided: State Chemical Applicator certification, Wilderness First Aid. Immunization for pre-rabies series provided.
