A research opportunity is available with the U.S Army Garrison Directorate of Public Works (DPW) in the Environmental and Natural Resources Division located in Fort Huachuca, AZ. DPW is seeking a candidate with a Bachelors/Masters in Forestry, Environmental Science, Biology, or similar. Exposure to wildland fire suppression, Rx burns, thinning a plus.
The selected candidate will participate in developing permanent inventory plots for forest thinning. Assist in the implementation andadministering of fire wood sales. Participate in urban/landscape forestry management. Assist in support of wildland and prescribed fire management and resource management activities. Assist the COR in performing quality assurance, GPS progress reports and technical support on multiple forestry contracts. Training provided: Wildfire and Chainsaw operations. Immunization for pre-rabies series provided.
