Job Description

Position Summary: Conduct Air Force environmental engineering work emphasizing mitigation or remediation of harmful environmental effects, recycling and recovery of natural resources, and ensuring public health and safety; including work with diverse aspects of water, land, or air pollution.

Location: Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), 711th Human Performance Wing (711HPW), United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), Occupational & Environmental Health Department (OE), Consultative Services (OEC), Consultative Support (OECC), WPAFB, Ohio  

Conducts environmental engineering work with mitigation or remediation of harmful environmental effects ensuring public health and safety.
Serves as technical lead at field site surveys, developing technical papers and managing programs in the areas of air pollution, contamination sites, environmental regulatory compliance and water systems.
Assists in developing human health risk management training for Air Force and DOD personnel.
Works with the application of theories, principles, practical concepts, processes, and systems related to: Federal, State, and local regulatory standards.
Follows environmental engineering design standards, codes, and practices; biological and physical science disciplines; and scientific methodology
