Job Description

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Siting and Routing Specialist in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic region to facilitate environmental siting and permitting for large and small energy-related projects.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Coordinating project team work and deliverables
Overseeing and writing planning documents
Monitoring schedule and budget
Interfacing with internal Project Managers, Project Staff, and clients

Required Education/Experience
BS degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related degree
Midwest and Mid-Atlantic expertise in siting/routing, environmental planning and analysis, state and NEPA compliance, public involvement, technical writing in one or more of the following areas:
Electric transmission lines and substations
Power generation facilities
Gas pipelines
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in federal and state environmental policy and regulation is required. Preferably, but not limited to, these states: IN, MI, OH, WV, VA, KY, and PA
Strong written and verbal communication skills, defining and understanding client requirements, managing expectations, communicating with clients and project staff

Desired Education/Experience
Six (6)+ years’ experience coordinating environmental siting/routing projects, preferably linear projects
Siting and routing linear facilities in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic Region
Preferably expertise and understanding of permitting requirements in IN, MI, OH, WV, VA, KY, and PA
Proposal writing and presentation skills a plus
