The Sustainability Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of sustainable sourcing programs and the achievement of sustainability targets for raw materials in NAFTA and Latin America regions. Essential Functions
Drive sustainability work in regions and outreach to regional/national buyers. Implement sustainable sourcing activities.
Collect and process data for sustainability market trends analysis.
Work with QA on Supplier Code signature request exceptions.
Engage with Sales to understand customer demand, marketing potential, and other support needed.
Provide support in fulfilling customer requests/understand future demand.
Support coordination with cocoa sustainability team synergies/coordinate effort.
Engage with Legal where needed.
Coordinate and collaborate on press releases, CSR reporting, social media activities.
Scrutinize sustainability performance and progress. Coordinate sustainability activities, implement sustainability programs.
Develop sustainability programs with customers.
Analyse potential for support, develop proposals, and manage communication.
Continue building and maintaining network and professional exchanges with certification organizations, sustainability standards, NGOs, universities/research institutes, and consultancies.
Participation in and feeding of working group meetings, networking.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability Management, or Environmental Studies.
At least 3 years of experience in sustainability for key non-cocoa raw materials (sugar, dairy, fats and oils) for BC Sourcing. Experience in working with various stakeholders, such as NGOs, suppliers, customers, certification/standards, and consultants.
