Job Description

This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-Time appointment.

This position is concurrently open under Announcement Number PWR-1547-LAKE-17-10012689-ST for merit promotion eligibles (open to Current career or career conditional competitive service employees with the Department of the Interior and Current or former time-limited employees eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act - LMWFA).

Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.


Performs environmental compliance work, ensures compliance with policies and regulations. Ensures documentation is technically adequate and conform to Federal and State guidelines, regulations and policies. Participates in maintaining documentation for compliance programs in the water and waste-water treatment, distribution, and collection fields. Analyze and interpret information, analyze environmental impacts and aid in the development if mitigating measures.

Organize, maintain and archive legal files of environmental compliance data and reports. Manage an inventory of water storage tanks Execute water quality and sampling compliance program. Manage an energy use monitoring program. Manage a backflow prevention program. Manage and execute a water and wastewater permitting processes program.
