Serves as full-performance Environmental Engineer in support of the Sacramento District's Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste (HTRW) and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit compliance programs. Typical work assignments include: addressing problems encountered at project sites in achieving compliance with Federal, state, and local environmental control regulations; domestic and industrial waste water treatment and disposal; studies to evaluate potential pollution sources; involvement in programs directly or indirectly related to environmental engineering such as water quality monitoring, storm water permit compliance, chemical and biological treatment and disposal of domestic and industrial waste, and treatment and disposal of toxic chemical waste, military munitions waste; and adapting proven methods and procedures to fit the latest technological advances in treatment of water, waste water, sediment, and contaminated soil.

Travel Required

  • 25% or Greater
  • Business Travel (TDY) is approximately 30% of the time.

  • Relocation costs may be paid if the selecting official determines the relocation is in the best interests of the government.
