REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree is required in urban planning, public policy, or related fields with a focus on environmental planning and civic engagement.  The successful candidate must have strong and demonstrated teaching experience.  The successful candidate will teach four graduate-level planning courses on topics such as civic engagement, environmental planning and policy, environmental equity, and economic/demographic data analysis.  All But Dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered, contingent upon completion of all doctoral requirements by the beginning date of the appointment.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Humphrey School of Public Affairs is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.  Candidates must be able to teach in the Humphrey School’s Urban and Regional Planning core curriculum, demonstrate a willingness to prepare students for careers and function collaboratively in a multi- and interdisciplinary-college. This position includes responsibilities for teaching and advising, as well as opportunities to participate in Master of Urban and Regional Planning program governance and engagement activities. This is a 9-month academic year position, with the possibility of renewal for up to one additional year.
