  • Hands-on Project Management affecting existing products, processes and developing technology
  • Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to reduce resource consumption and drive productivity in manufacturing operations and new product development
  • Contribute to packaging and distribution teams to maximize product freight density and reduce use of non-renewable materials
  • Promote innovative and practical (e.g. Green Chemistry) solutions to use of highly regulated materials in our products and production processes
  • Pioneer solutions for ‘Safer Solutions’ in product design
  • Maintain sustainable design criteria in new product development
  • Directly engage with customers and commercial partners to identify solutions to meet their ongoing sustainability and/or immediate EHS needs
  • Lead Thermo Fisher Scientific’s “Green Leaf” program
  • Maintain key account sustainable score card
  • Represent LSG in external meetings and customer presentation
  • Develop and maintain tools targeting sustainable design

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated Project Management capabilities influencing functions outside area of direct authority
  • Able to concurrently manage multiple large scale projects
  • Certification or demonstrated use of Lean Six Sigma, PPI or similar tools
  • 5+ years bench level experience in R&D, Process Development or Manufacturing Operations
  • Effective written and oral communicator with experience delivering to all levels within an organization
  • Capable of implementing strategic compliance solutions to complex global regulations
  • Competency with standard Microsoft Office products as well as statistical software

Working Conditions
