We have an opportunity in our Baton Rouge, LA office for an Environmental Geologist/Scientist/Engineer, who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established company. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Performing a variety of duties for groundwater and remediation projects to include but not limited to: management, investigation, remediation, and monitoring of environmental projects Work closely with and in support of project managers, professional engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and skilled technicians/technologists to assist GHD's oil and gas clients Desktop review of historical information on active environmental and engineering projects Respond to emergency response field efforts Support environmental field work such as site delineation, soil boring and monitor well installation, groundwater monitoring and due diligence assessments Help prepare routine correspondence, multimedia permits, data reports, standardized documents, and work plans for internal and client review Routine operations and maintenance oversight and day-to-day operations of active recovery and treatment systems on a 24 hour basis, as needed Oversight of contractors involved in major construction projects including pipeline demolition and replacement, tank inspections and repair, and pump replacement and repair Skills, Competencies, Qualifications :  B.S. or M.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science preferred EIT, PE, PG license preferred 0-5  years of previous project management experience including the management, investigation, remediation and monitoring of environmental projects, water/wastewater engineering project experience, geotechnical experience, general civil design experience Strong problem solving abilities and aptitude Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner Must have strong technical writing skills Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials is a must Positive attitude, very strong interpersonal skills Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time Self-starter, flexible team player, willing/able to work on a wide variety of tasks OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training considered an asset Must have familiarity with Office suite programs Must reside in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
