2004 Student Environmental Careers Conference
Join the Environmental Career Center for the live broadcast to colleges nationwide, February 17
The Environmental Career Center is again assembling two panels of environmental and natural resources employers and career experts in a live satellite broadcast for college students. College Career Services Offices and Environmental and Natural Resources Departments, that want provide their student with this opportunity, need to register should plan to attend the Student Environmental Careers Conference at noon to 2 p.m. (EST) on February 17, 2004.
Past speakers were from the National Park Service, U.S. Fish Wildlife Service, EPA, U.S. Forest Service, The Nature Conservancy, Student Conservation Association, Georgia Pacific, Peace Corps, state environmental agencies, environmental consultants, and many other environmental employers. The two-hour session will have eight panelists telling students what there organization does, what it is like working for their organization, and career and job seeking advice for college students. Students may question panelists via phone, email or fax message. Past environmental career conferences have been very informative and useful to students and college departments, and panelists really enjoyed helping students. Students liked the access to a diversity of environmental career experts and employers, and they liked that they did not have to take extra time and spend more money to travel to a conference.
